SIFFO FISH – Somali Integrated Fisheries and Forestry Organization is a national non-profit organization dedicated to restoring, protecting, and sustainably managing Somalia’s marine and forest ecosystems. We operate at the nexus of biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and the blue economy, empowering coastal and rural communities to thrive through ecosystem-based solutions.Our work addresses critical environmental threats, including plastic pollution, illegal fishing, coastal erosion, and the degradation of mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and other sensitive habitats that support marine life such as dugongs, sea turtles, and coastal bird species.We actively lead community beach cleaning campaigns, raise awareness on the dangers of marine debris and microplastics, and advocate for sustainable fishing and waste management practices that protect ocean health
